More powerful and streamlined publishing process
Vertical Site is one of a few solutions in the market that handles cross site publishing in a simple but powerful way by using a central content repository where global access rights are handled.
The latest version includes a more powerful publishing wizard for distributing content to multiple sites and multiple menu items per site. You can choose a page template, preview and automatic order handling. In addition you can choose the home menu item for all content.
Smart links
The latest version also includes unique urls to all content published on the site. The urls have built in rules to automatically ensure the user gets the right content, menus, and the page path is updated automatically.
You can move content to different menu items without affecting or breaking the url.
Enhanced preview function
In addition to the new preview function for the publishing wizard, you can now preview content using all available page templates for all sites when you author your content.
Extended control for non-technical users
The latest version simplifies site development and gives all non-technical users increased control over structure and lay-out.
New Web Services API
All data sources are now available as Web Services. This simplifies integration with other portal frameworks and applications.
Enonic focuses on integration between content based web sites and applications or portal frameworks. Several innovative solutions in this area will be published next quarter.
Performance enhancements
Demanding customers have contributed to several improvements in the latest version. Vertical Site uses an open framework for caching that increases the file download performance. In addition, the left menu is certified to handle extremely large menu structures and archive structures.
New graphical profile
Vertical Site has a new graphical profile. The new profile is similar to Enonic’s company profile and the product name is incorporated in the Enonic logo.
