Gjensidige Insurance chooses Enonic's Java CMS

Norway’s largest non-life insurance company have chosen Vertical Site for all their web content management needs. The solution will be administered by several hundred editors and publishers and will be used to provide information to clients, partners and employees.

When Gjensidige decided they needed a Content Management Solution they did a thorough evaluation of available products in the market including some of the largest international vendors. In the end they decided to go with Enonic’s Vertical Site.

”We chose Enonic because they were a good alternative to the larger vendors. Vertical Site is based on Java and is technologically very advanced while at the same time very user friendly. In addition, Vertical Site has a lower price point than the larger vendors we evaluated”, says Per Kåre Olsen, Director Gjensidige.

Tight integration with portal framework
Gjensidige uses a portal framework based upon Novell Extend. This has been developed in concert with BEKK consulting (one of Norways' most highly regarded strategic consulting and integration firms). Gjensidige has also used BEKK in regards to the integration of Vertical Site within this portal framework. A user friendly solution for content management is critical when using a portal framework that needs to function effectively across the organization.

Vertical Site has been developed so that it can easily be integrated with third party portal frameworks and effectively be integrated with products from Enonic’s technology partners; IBM, BEA, Sun and Oracle.

Both Novell Extend and Vertical Site run on IBM Websphere Application Servers. Enonic has years of experience and expertise on this platform.

A complete solution for Content Management
Gjensidige is now running Vertical Site for content management and publishing of the organizations internal and external portal offerings. The first solution to go live is a major part of the organizations intranet. This solution is a support function for sales and customer service employees and includes some 15,000 documents.

”We are very pleased to have been chosen as the Content Management solution for Gjensidige. It is an exciting delivery in terms of technology, platform and the inetgration with Novell Extend. We look forward to a successful working relationship with Gjensidige and BEKK moving forward", Morten Eriksen, Enonic's CEO.
