Statistics Norway choose Enonic CMS for their new website
Statistics Norway (SSB) has been through a thorough process to choose the right Content Management System (CMS) to administrate and publish their statistical information on their new website. They have evaluated several Java CMS systems and vendors, and their choice was Enonic CMS.
SSB is running a complex project to upgrade the website www.ssb.no. There are three main ambitions with this project, a new user interface, a new CMS system and new services for wide distribution and to make more information available outside ssb.no.
Statistics Norway chooses Enonic CMS because they have a broad distribution in Norway, both the availability of the vendor but also through a well-developed partner network with more than 100 certified consultants, in addition to important services such as support, maintenance and training.
“The evaluation board in SSB is very positive about the CMS platform from Enonic, and rated it relatively higher than the competition in areas such as functionality, implementation, scalability and technical compatibility”, says Per Olav Løvbak, Product Owner of the new web site.
Statistics Norway is the central body responsible for covering the need for statistics on Norwegian society. Official statistics are the nation’s common factual basis and are essential for a living democracy. Statistics Norway is responsible for almost all official statistics in Norway and they also have a large research department contributing in the social debate based on factual information.
“Enonic appreciates the choice when this is one of the most, if not the most important website in Norway. We know that SSB has made a very thorough evaluation process with demanding specifications for all vendors involved, and we are very pleased to win this contract”, says Haakon Skaarer, CEO of Enonic.
