Delta organises both central and local government employees and employees in the private services sector.

Delta is a labour union that safeguards rights as regards pay, working hours and working environment. Delta also works to develop the workplace with a focus on the members' general quality of life.

• Delta is neutral as regards party politics, is independent of political parties, and has over 60,000 members. This makes for power and influence, which in turn makes for security for Delta's members.
• Delta is an umbrella for 19 vocational and industrial organisations that offer trade-union solidarity and social fellowship, plus opportunities for professional development.
• Delta has highly skilled and committed representatives at most workplaces. Around 90 employees at 11 service centres spend their days looking after the members interests.
• Delta is affiliated to YS, the Confederation of Vocational Unions.
