Kavli and Q-Meieriene: One Platform for Strong Brands and Engaged Consumers
With Enonic, Kavli and Q-Meieriene have gained a scalable solution that simplifies everyday life for editors and invites customers to participate in product development.
How to reconcile the role of a traditional food producer with the ambition of being Norway's most innovative challenger?
Kavli and Q-Meieriene are two of Norway's most beloved brands. While Kavli has over 100 years of history with innovation, Q-Meieriene is known as a consumer-driven challenger. Common to both is the ownership through the Kavli Trust, which means that all profits go to good causes.
To continue to support this unique business model, Kavli had to acquire a modern digital toolkit. The requirement was both efficient management of multiple websites and facilitation of a close two-way dialogue with consumers.
Challenge: From Fragmented Management to Modern Interaction
Kavli and Q-Meieriene needed a modern web solution that could grow in step with the brands. The internal agency in Kavli needed a platform that makes it easy to manage multiple languages ββand websites centrally, while each brand retains its unique character.
The goal of the new solution was to:
- Strengthen the brand experience and simplify navigation for consumers.
- Facilitate the management of multiple brands and languages ββon one common platform.
- Improve the handling of user-generated content, such as the successful concept "My Q Idea".
- Reduce manual work for customer service by offering smarter self-service solutions.
Solution: A Flexible Engine for Content and Data
The choice fell on Enonic as the central technical platform, with 99x and Tre as responsible for implementation and design.
With the cloud service Enonic Cloud, Kavli got a predictable and scalable operating solution that can be expanded to new markets such as Sweden, Denmark and the United Kingdom without increased complexity.
Enonic also functions as a common base where content editors can easily switch between the brands in the Content Studio editor interface.
Furthermore, by utilizing the platform's built-in database engine, Kavli can have advanced services for user-generated content built directly into the solution. This removes the need for expensive external systems and simplifies both development and operation.
To lower the threshold for interactivity, Vipps was implemented as login for consumers. Since Enonic has broad support for identity providers (IDPs), Microsoft Entra ID was also introduced for secure and easy access to the administration pages for the employees.
